PreManipulation?! What is that? I needed a word to describe the now  common attribute and state of being: the need to be manipulated. Even 10 years ago, I didn’t really think I’d see this in my lifetime.

“But come on, are people demanding to be manipulated!?!?”

No problem Tik Tok knows where to take you next, inch by inch, step by step and you insist on staying in front of your phone or laptop for more time than you would guess.

Your map of your BEHAVIORs, move you to precisely where the platform wants you to be.

You know you will like the first person’s post you see (statistically speaking) and that they will like you, when they see you first in their stream, next week. Facebook already knows the likelihood to the percentile of what percentage of likes you afford this person or picture type. Then you scroll and look for another post to like.

Think about that subtle behavioral nuance. Once you’ve done one, many follow.

Although incredibly superficial, it is one of the few remaining effective examples of reciprocity that actually is predictable.

Ultimately you’ll see advertising in your stream, both on and off of the platform of your choice that are geared with some precision by algorithms that are designed to captivate you with not only your friends but promotional material from the trillion dollars worth of ads.
