WELCOME! Week 1
The Comprehensive Charismatic Communication System
Week 1: Charisma: You Begin with Asking Great Questions
Welcome! This page will guide you through this week’s video modules.
Get ready for the journey of your life.
With Kevin Hogan, Psy.D.
Good day everyone,
Go buy a BIG COOL BLANK JOURNAL today, if you haven’t already.
Important stuff below about how the course will work and what you can expect.
When you finish the modules created for you each week, go to the next week at the beginning of the next week.
I do not encourage you to work “ahead.” Instead, really learn the material. This is an 8+ week course, use 1 week for each week in the course. Watch twice. Watch three times if you wish, THEN move ahead. The course, 8 weeks in duration, is always under construction somewhere in the course. I never stop making changes and adjustments for you.
That means you can also let me know if a link doesn’t work!
Each week, you’ll be able to sit back, listen and watch at your leisure while you take massive amounts of handwritten notes.
Take lots and lots of notes. Everything you write down will be important to your future. Everything you will leave will be forgotten and become useless.
Part of this course is heavily structured. This includes two dimensions including Questions and Story.
The balance of the course is created in a different style to enhance integration into your life. It’s much less formal and designed for you to take those notes and see how all of the themes weave together.
Key: Handwritten notes cause results.
Typing in a computer…save the trouble.
Never just watch a video, ALWAYS take tons of notes. This is not a course on planting flowers. This is about building wealth and very few people capture the nuances. Miss something in planting flowers, no big deal. Miss a piece of the wealth puzzle, and it won’t happen.
The videos are all just you and me. If I have to do more complicated math I will put it up on a whiteboard. Otherwise we just sit and relax.
Lesson One, Week 1
Week 1 Lesson 2
Your job is to get inside and find out what the Rolodex wants.
7:00 Of all the criteria/reasons A, B, C, D, E which is the 80% of the REAL reason you’ll make your decision? 11:00 Framing discussion. Same words in the question but the dramatic difference in the tone of voice. 13:00 “What’s going pretty well in life right now?” (Positive frame of mind triggering question) 14:00 “What will be the cool thing that happens if we go with the alternative idea?” 15:50 “What are you struggling with in life, right now?” There are more than TWO sides to every question. 18:00 People have MANY problems. The frame and the reality are typically very different pictures. 19:00 **21** “How is it you did so well when everyone else in your work/profession didn’t do so well?” THE STORY (their answer to this question) is what they are dying to tell you! 25:00 The “lucky break” story. 26:30 If you could make a choice today that might give you a lucky break what would that be? 28:00 The painting of Kevin story. 29:00 How to frame questions so women will have a simple but fun story to tell you. “Is there a story behind that?” 32:00 If you want people to great around you, **21** “What is it about you that is the coolest thing that someone doesn’t know about you?” Separate yourself from everyone else in their mind. “What is the secret that you hide that people go, ‘Wow that is really cool.'”
Week 3 Lesson 3
Genesis Stories **21** “what got you into x?” Kevin tells the story of his first casino visit ever. He was 17 years old. (That’s not legal…) 6:00 When you tell a genesis story to someone it creates a bond between storyteller and listener. 12:00 –Continue– 17:00 Asking someone for help with Perceived Identification. 19:30 “How did you meet?” Your response to genesis stories will determine how much people like you. 22:00 without mutual revelation you have interrogation. 24:00 “Hang on, I missed something, tell me again, OK?” 25:00 “Wait, I screwed up… can we begin again?” (Communication Breakdown Questions) Different frames bring you different results.
Week 1 Lesson 4
“If you X what will you be doing in 2 years?” is very different from “What would you like to be doing in 2 years?” **21** “Off the top of your head, what has to happen to you for you to decide/invest/go on vacation? (First thing that comes to mind.) Top of mind/imagination question. Very low threat. (What else/what else/what else) It stops the rolodex cold. 8:00 “How do you feel about that?” 11:30 When with a group and “Assume that they are wrong (a better solution out there, that might work in a slightly different way) What would you do? ” **21** “What do you feel and how do you think about it?” 14:30 “I don’t get it. How does this get you to your outcome?” **21** (The most important question?) “Why?” …”Why else…” “Why else….”
Week 1 Lesson 5
“Why” do I want to do this with my son? “Why” brings you the truth about why you are doing something. **”Why Else?”** How do you know when you have the right answer?
